Prequisites:
1)The Redmi 1S must be running the Stock MIUI ROM.
2) Developer options should be activated. If not, then go to Settings > About Phone > and tap the build number five times to enable developer option).
3) It’s strongly recommended to create the manual back up of all the data present in your Redmi .
Easy Way to root your Xiaomi Redmi 1S:
1) Download both Attachments
2)Place these Files ( Root.zip ,Rename it to update.zip) in the root directory of internal storage of the phone
3) Now Reboot to recovery mode ( Find this Option in the Updater APP which is in the Tools

4)In Mi recovery menu you need to select English and reboot into Recovery
5)Select and confirm ‘Install update.zip to System’
6)Reboot the device. So, select and confirm the ‘Reboot’ option
7) After Reboot, you have to go to Security option and allow the permission to activate the ‘Root persmission’.
YOU HAVE ROOTED XIAOMI REDMI 1S
1)Deactivate the ‘Root Permission’ in Security Options
2)This Time Rename Unroot to Update.zip
3) Follow Same Steps ! as above !!
Note: NEVER DO OTA ON ROOT !!...........
